We arrived at 5:35 right after it opened and there was already a traffic jam when we got one block away. One person in our party arrived at 5:20 and got right in and parked close. If you are meeting people there, there are two entrances, so be aware. Despite the crowd, the lights were beautiful and plentiful…We and many others were pulling kids in wagons so it was hard to see lights on both sides of the walkway with all the people. So, stay to the right and focus on that side. When you get to the end, you turn around and come back the same path and can focus on that side. The cool prism wands that people are carrying are fifteen bucks, so before you say, “ya I’ll get you one.” Make it conditional for good behavior, cleaning their room, or something…might as well get your money’s worth. These tickets worked fine. I saved $20 (which took the edge off getting fleeced on two wands) and saved them on my digital wallet where they were scanned.

It was a nice place to spend family time and walk around to look at all the beautiful lights. The only issues I had were that all the food lines were insanely long and there wasn’t any like attraction ride that you could do while walking to help kill time

It’s a fabulous display of lights for the whole family. Don’t go expecting to see live zoo animals. Only a few live animals were on display. There were definitely a few WOW moments. Expect very large crowds and possible long walking distances to the zoo due to demand for parking.
