Highly recommended if you enjoy exploring new countries and places, the drive is incredibly scenic but not for the faint hearted (take some anti sickness if this is usually an issue) The bus takes you down the windy coast and up over the mountains, our driver was fantastic and I drove well and safely. The drive there however was long and we were on the busy for at least 4 hours before the first stop and toilet break and 5 and a half before reaching our first destination. The journey back however was much quicker only 2 and a half hours back but this was out of season. We spent around 8 hours on the bus and the whole day was around 12 hours, so go prepared. Mostar and the waterfalls are definitely worth a visit and the cost of the trip along with price of food and drink in Mostar are much more reasonable than Croatia. It was one of the highlights of my holiday and think it’s worth the commute.
We had Niko as our tour guide who was brilliant and engaging. Sadly we had to wait two hours at the border in the morning and this delayed the whole day, which didn’t matter too much, but it had meant we didn’t get an opportunity to eat properly until 1pm which was difficult for us. The waterfalls is a great stop but not long enough, there is only one cafe open and it doesn’t serve food to go, which we didn’t know so wasted time taking photos first and then realised had no time for food and the ice cream stand was cash only which we didn’t have any lef. You can swim at the waterfall but it’s super cold! Mostar was beautiful and sufficient time spent there, was nice to try Bosnian coffee and Bosnian food! Pocitelj for us wasn’t really a worthy stop, everything shut bar one restaurant which no one came to sit us so we left and went to cafe opposite the drop off point that was like a mini Greggs.Overall great day but bring cash and bring back up food to make the bus journey more bareable
