Met in Sorrento square at 7:15. In November, took less than hr to reach Pompei. Nice bar at entrance to grab coffee or quick snack. Our guide Mimi was very entertaining and had a lot of info. We had Vinnie as the architectural guide inside Pompeii who was great as well. Highly recommended this tour and both guides. We stopped for lunch on the way to Mt Vesuvius I would say, advertisement should state ‘can’ include lunch for additional cost as it is not mentioned. We paid $20 and had 3 course filling but light lunch with wine 5 minutes from Mt V. It was great as we knew we would be hungry on 8 hr tour. For the trek up Mt V, we had 1 hr and 30 min. It. Is. Steep. Mimi said we would have plenty of time to get to top and back even if we were slow. I’d say average person probably so but it is a climb. Down was great tho and much faster. Bathroom at bottom but none after you cross the entrance. Two souvenir shops inside. Highly recommend, great communication and wonderful experience.
Lulu ran a great tour. She kept us entertained and informed about our destinations, Pompei and Vesuvius, and about the places on the way from our starting point, Sorrento.
