Full description

Start with pickup from Belgrade at 8:00 AM. Travel to the first stop, Manasija Monastery, which was built in the 15th century by Serbian ruler, Stefan Lazarevic. Discover one the most significant medieval monuments in Serbia known for its artistic, cultural and historical value. Explore the monastery which is surrounded by magnificent towers of the medieval fortress. Continue to Resava Cave, one of the oldest and largest caves in Eastern Europe. Explore the interior of the 80 million-year-old cave which measures approximately 4.5 kilometers in length. See numerous and magnificent halls, channels, galleries, columns, stalactites, stalagmites, draperies and flowstone waterfalls. Finally, make a final stop at the Lisine waterfall which is over 20 meters high and is one of the highest and most impressive waterfalls in Serbia. Before returning to Belgrade, enjoy free time for lunch in a restaurant near the waterfall. Make sure to try the homegrown trout.

  • The temperature in Resava cave is 7°C (45°F) so a jacket is required
  • For the shared group option, minimum is 4 persons on the tour and if you are less persons, you will be informed before the trip and offered a choice between joining another group, booking private tours (depending on availability), or canceling the tour with no fees applied
  • Pickup is available from accommodations up to 5km from Republic Square. If your hotel is further away from this point, you will be contacted to confirm whether pickup will be available from your accommodation or from the scheduled meeting point

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone considering to book. Upon booking, we were told that if the minimum number of people were not able to make the trip that it would be changed. We then found out we would have a private tour for no extra charge! Our tour guide, Vladica, was amazing from start to finish. He was a fount of knowledge, and so friendly. His recommendation for lunch at the Lisine Waterfall was also great. The resava caves were a particular highlight, with so much geographical importance and history. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
