Charlotte Amalie: Virgin Islands Snorkeling and Boating Tour

Guides were great. Had fun!!

Not worth what we paid. We have done this same excursion in several other ports and this one was far below the quality of others. 1. Instructions need updated, there is no longer a No Passport Needed Kiosk, it has changed names. Be kind to your clients and be current with information. 2. Asked to arrive early but our guides literally boated in at exactly 9am. After everyone was aboard it was after 9am. 3. I am pretty open minded but I don't need to spend my whole 4 hours listening to the guides talking about themselves. Where they like to party "PotHole", where they'd rather live, their political views, etc. 4. Arriving at Honeymoon Island when we got into the water it smelled of waste terrible bad. My husband said something to one of guides about how a blue liquid was dripping from beneath the boat. He argued with my husband. My husband said come down here and look, plus how do you not smell that? 5. When leaving we gave a tip and tried about 3 times to thank them. No response.

We had a great time! Our guide, Valle, was very knowledgeable and personable and makes great rum punch! My only complaint is we had to get a cab to take us to the meeting point because our cruise ship came into another cruise dock than the one where we were meeting. So it was a little stressful, trying to figure out where to go and we didn't want to miss our tour. Make sure you allow enough time to get off the ship and get to your meeting point. But overall it was a great experience and we would definitely do it again!
