I had originally booked on the afternoon tour but due to only 2 people signing up for it, I got asked if I’d like to go on the morning tour. I did the killing fields first then the prison as I didn’t reply to the message I time! The tours were fantastic, very emotional. The english audio guides are great!

Transport between locations only which is a really good way of pacing and structuring your morning properly. Between the prison and killing fields they put on a documentary in the bus which was really informative and good , gave more context on the history of Pol Pot and his background. Clever idea to provide transport between sites - cost of entry to prison 5$, with guide extra 4$, with audio guide extra 5$. Entry to killing fields 3$, with audio guide extra 3$. Please wear modest clothes out do respect for the history and souls lost. There are signs which prohibit open back, chest, shoulders, and clothes above the knee.

A difficult but important thing to experience. What the Cambodian people suffered at the hands of the Khmer Rouge was nothing short of despicable. It's hard not to feel deep sadness walking around these two locations. The booking is purely for the bus to and from the locations. They give you a set time to return. The audio guide is *essential* so make sure to buy it. The listing implies you can only get through the red numbers on the audio guide but if you start it immediately upon entering, you should be able to get through the full thing in time. It's hard not to want to hear the whole story. On the bus, you'll be given a bottle of water after the S21 tour. It's ice cold which is appreciated, usually tour water is warm. They'll pick you up and drop you at your hotel.
