Full description

Discover the Tafi Abuife Kente Village, walk in the unique canopy at Ote Waterfalls, and feed Mona monkeys at the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary.

Start your adventure in Tafi Abuife Kente Village, where vibrant Ewe-style weaving comes to life. Here, skilled artisans create colorful, intricate kente cloth by hand, and you’ll see every detail of the craft up close. You might even try weaving yourself, connecting with the deep cultural traditions that make this village so special.

Then, head to the breathtaking Ote Waterfalls—the only waterfall in Ghana with a canopy walkway. Walking above the forest floor, you’ll pass right in front of the falls, taking in its powerful beauty as mist refreshes your face.

Finally, make your way to the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, home to friendly Mona monkeys. Feed them bananas, take photos, and enjoy as they playfully climb on you. These gentle monkeys are the perfect companions to end your adventure with a touch of excitement and joy.

This was one of my favourite days in Ghana. The monkey sanctuary was super cool & getting a go at making some kente was fun. Davis and Maxwell were great guides too.

The tour is ok, you get to know a bit of the surrounding of Ghana during the trip back and forth. The driver was nice and very responsive by message. However, the activities are nothing exceptional, and the whole trip is definitely OVERPRICED for what they offer, and 3.30h of car back and forth is definitely not worth for the activities. I liked a lot the visit at the village, and getting to know the people and their life there. For the naturalistic point of view, it is definitely not worth it (considering how much this tour costs!). I wouldn't suggest.

We had a great day exploring the Volta Region. Our guides Davis and Maxwell were great; they made sure we had enough water and snacks, they gave us abundant information about the place, stopped when we requested it, and above all, they drove safely (and the car was comfortable). The programme was exactly as advertised. Be aware, however, that Ote Falls dry up in the dry season, but we still took the short (but quite intense) walk down to the falls and the rope bridges, and it was 100% worth it. Totally recommended.
