The tour was well organized and the people were friendly. Our guide was very nice and did a good job. He seemed a bit nervous, but his English was great and we enjoyed the tour! We booked the to learn a bit about the other artwork, musical instruments and history of the accidemia. We were a bit disappointed that There was not more focus on that.

I’m glad I booked this tour not only to skip the line but also to learn a lot of information I didn’t know. My guide offered a great deal of insight into the political, social, and aesthetic history of some major works as well as lesser known works. He was knowledgeable about the circumstances of the creation of the works as well as their placement in the museum, particularly about Michelangelo, musical instruments, and paintings. I recommend this tour for gathering a lot of information quickly and avoiding the masses outside!

Expensive but guarantees that you don't wait in the hot sun.

While the tour guide was informative, she did not let us know that there was a whole other floor to explore and she didn't talk along the route to the Academia. One whole section was closed for the afternoon with no good reason and I felt that should have been mentioned beforehand. I was especially looking forward to taking my time in that hall of model sculptures since I had missed it on the previous tour a few years ago. It definitely pays to plan well ahead to get the best value for your tours.
