Full description
Your friendly and knowledgeable private tour guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel or port and your journey through the history of Acapulco will start. First stop is San Diego Fortress, which bears witness to the history of the city. Each of the chambers tells the story of different episodes of Mexico´s history, since the first civilizations that settled in the area, the battles with the corsairs, the glamorous days of La Nao de China, the evangelization of natives, the battle for independence and revolution. All of these Mexican history chapters are located in one monumental fortress.  Acapulco embraced prominent personalities who made the city their own home such as Johnny Weismuller, the actor who played Tarzan and owned a property located at the highest cliff in Acapulco. Eventually this place became Los Flamingos Hotel but still keeps its history and fame as the house of Tarzan. You will get to see this building during your tour with a hall of fame to visit and lovely point in the history of Acapulco. These days, Acapulco is probably most famous for its cliff divers at La Quebrada. These brave men risk to their lives to offer you an incredible performance. You'll also enjoy this wonderful show before returning to your hotel.

Great day out with Jesus, a lovely mature man that has lived and breathes Acapulco. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Acapulco and use Get Your Guide. It's so much better having a personalized tour

Our guide was punctual, friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately due to Covid, we had to skip the Fort. But I don’t think any of my group noticed. It was a great experience and a wonderful time was had by all. Highly recommend!!
