Richard was fantastic! He was very informative, funny, and just a great guy! He made sure everyone was comfortable from the beginning all the way to the end of the tour. Tony (the driver) & Richard both shared stories from the show as well as information about the UKs filming industry. Bampton was fantastic! I loved all the information about which building was used and how the locals were part of the cast. Highclere Castle is beautiful, that’s a fact. The only thing I would suggest is that the castle has some sort of guide. Whether that means having your guide walk with smaller groups & having maybe 2 tour guides on a bus for larger groups or the best would be for the castle to have an audio tour. If I’m doing a self-guided tour, I want to know what I’m looking at. Family pictures were everywhere but no stories about any of them. Access to the grounds was fantastic. Finding the scene from the 1987 Secret Garden movie was 🧑‍🍳💋 Overall, this was a great tour! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
