Full description
Meet by the new statue of the Beatles in front of the Mersey Ferry Terminal at Pier Head and take some souvenir photos in front of the famous Liver Buildings. Then, visit the Grade II-listed Port of Liverpool Building, built in 1907 with a lavish marble interior and magnificent domed roof.
Take a short walk to the Maritime Museum of Liverpool, where exhibits tell the story of the city through costume, decorative art and everyday artefacts, before heading back towards Albert Docks and the 18th-century Liverpool Town Hall where the Beatles had their homecoming reception in 1964. Journey down one of Liverpool's original streets en route to Mathew Street to see the Eleanor Rigby Statue and new statue of Cilla Black in the Cavern Quarter.
End your tour at the Cavern Club, where the Beatles played 292 times between 1961 and 1963 and where there is usually live Beatles music on stage. The tour has something for everyone and is perfect as a shore excursion, as the starting point is less than 5 minutes walk from the cruise terminal.
