Excellent tour around the center of Funchal. Lots of the island's history explained, and the food & drink was excellent. Did it on the first day of our trip and it seemed to cover most of the local food and drink. Highlights were the Madeira wine, scabbard sandwich, and poncha! Tree House bar was also great, we eneded up going back there a few nights later.

We enjoyed an excellent tour with Roberto. The stops were well spaced out with opportunities to sample a wide variety of Madeiran specialties in a range of establishments we would not have necessarily discovered. Roberto was friendly & extremely knowledgeable about the area. The tour gives you not only a sample of local cuisine but also a potted history in a small group environment. Well worth it .

We had a fantastic time with our tour guide Roberto. The tour group was not too big, and the locations were well spaced out so there was just enough walking in between each food or drink tasting. We got to try a wide range of iconic Madeira foods and drinks, and learned the history and context of each one. We also got to learn some general Madeira history, so it was even more than a food and wine tour. Highly recommend!
