Full description
Escape the hustle and bustle of Funchal on a full-day scenic tour of the west of Madeira. Following pickup from selected hotels in Funchal, pass through the traditional fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. Continue to Cabo Girão Skywalk, Europe's highest cliff skywalk at 589m. Next, make your way to Ribeira Brava and head north through the deep and narrow valleys of Serra D'Água. Upon arrival at Encumeada at the top of the valley, enjoy an incredible view of the south and north coast of the island. Cross a mountain pass, where both sides of the island are visible, and travel down to the rugged beauty of the north coast, where Atlantic rollers deposit white surf on the cliffs. Traverse Madeira's highest plateau, and enjoy more spectacular panoramas. Next, go to São Vicente on Madeira’s north coast. Visit the beautiful village of Porto Moniz. Here you will have approximately 1 hour for lunch, as well as some time to admire the volcanic swimming pools. Continue to Paul da Serra to see one of the biggest natural reserves in the world. what's not to love. the guide person was a good driver first of all, very informative, with the perfect amount of info, doesn't make your ears hurt . he had a very pleasant flow of narrating, he might as well do just that as a profession, hats off. we visited all the places mentioned in the tour, everything was precisely timed. we're doing another tour with the same company in two days.

The tour was very good and beautiful. The nature is amazing and you’ll see a lot of things on this tour. Though the day we were going wasn’t the best, because if the weather. The ride on the top op the mountains were very bumpy, and we could not see anything. Be aware of this when you book the tour. There’s a whole part of the tour you’ll miss, if it’s bad weather. Everything was foggy in the top op the mountains and also a bit cold. But can only recommend this tour. The driver, who was also the guide, was helpful and informative. You’ll not regret going on this tour

We had a great trip, and the guide Roberto was really, really good - both as a tour guide and as a driver. We would definitely recommend it. We had some clouds and rain, so we didn't get to see all the views, but as the guide said, that weather is quite common on the northern part of the island.
