Escape the hustle and bustle of Funchal on a full-day scenic tour of the west of Madeira. Admire the unspoiled natural beauty of the area and visit the charming villages of Câmara de Lobos and Porto Moniz.

Following pickup from selected hotels in Funchal, pass through the traditional fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. Continue to Cabo Girão Skywalk, Europe's highest cliff skywalk at 589m.

Next, head towards the Ribeira Brava and go north through the deep and narrow valleys of Serra D'Água. Upon arrival at Encumeada, enjoy an incredible view of the south and north coast of the island.

Cross a mountain pass, and witness the rugged beauty of the north coast, where Atlantic rollers deposit white surf on the cliffs. Traverse Madeira's highest plateau, and enjoy more spectacular panoramas.

Continue to São Vicente on Madeira’s north coast. Visit the beautiful village of Porto Moniz and take 1 hour for lunch, as well as time to admire the volcanic swimming pools. Finish your tour at Paul da Serra to see one of the biggest natural reserves in the world.

Great tour, easygoing and knowledgeable tour guide. Stunning views. I appreciate that the van slowed down or stopped for a few seconds to show us to take photos. We were unlucky with the weather and the volcanic pools at Porto Moniz were closed due to the high waves but it was a beautiful trip anyway. The only thing it would be great for them to include is the Cascata dos Anjos waterfall

An enjoyable tour with clear and concise information provided by Roberto, our guide for the day. It would have been helpful to have had more information at each stop about toilet facilities, suggestions as to where to buy refreshments (particularly where there was limited time) and more importantly, what to expect at Porto Muniz in terms of swimming ie changing facilities and restaurants. We only became aware of the option of a fixed price menu at a particular restaurant just prior to Porto Muniz but without any details of the menu itself which was only shared when we asked. It would have been good to know such details at the outset so that proper consideration could be given as to whether this was a “good deal”/viable option. The overall trip was also slightly marred by an inconsiderate quartet of young Portuguese speaking persons who initially arrived very late, then chatted loudly/constant noise annoyance from their mobile phones for the duration! Wider seats needed on van.

One day before the start of the trip, information (in English) about the meeting point came again. Pick up from the port was on time and very well organized. Bruno our guide spoke German and English alternately. Everything easy to understand. He made a variety of stops and explained well. He could have explained a little more on the way back. Otherwise I can recommend the tour with the organizer.
