There’s nothing quite like a home-cooked Italian meal, especially when it has been prepared with the help of a professional chef and when you get to enjoy it on a beautiful private space in Rome. This is an experience that’s typically reserved for the real Romans, but now you can experience it too on this 3-hour activity. You’ll meet the chef in the charming Trastevere neighborhood, and you’ll be greeted with Prosecco and snacks, the perfect aperitivo to get the class started. The itinerary for the lunchtime class is slightly different. You will meet your chef at the meeting point and visit a traditional local market to shop for the ingredients for your meal. Soon it will be time to learn how to make pasta from scratch. If you want to make authentic Italian food at home, this is the number 1 skill to learn. The chef will guide you and the members of your small group through the hands-on process. Feel free to ask about anything related to food or Rome! This is your chance to learn how to cook and eat like a local. Finally, it will be time to eat. Enjoy your home-cooked pasta, along with some fine Italian wine. By the end, you won't be leaving with just a pleasant memory, but also with the know-how for making an authentic Italian dish to impress friends and family back home!

Walks of Italy put on a great show. Our two chefs were absolutely phenomenal. They brought life, passion, love and culture to the kitchen. Some take aways from this class; where the different type of pastas varying across different regions of Italy, making your own pasta takes time, and Alfredo is not a type of pasta sauce. You’ve been warned on that last one. :) I will definitely be back to do another tour. Thank you chefs!

This was the BEST cooking class I’ve ever taken, and I’m a tough critic, the chefs shared so much information and helped you feel comfortable and good about cooking, it is also the best meal I’ve ever made, they were funny, fun, and generous about sharing knowledge about the different regions, I left full and happy and this makes me feel better about cooking w confidence!

It was just what I was looking for: learn hands-on how to make your own pasta dough by a pro, tips and tricks on how to rest, store and shape it. And while the dough was resting, we made the sauce to go with it and they showed how to easily make gelato at home. We were a small group (11 people) and we all had a great time. Also, after the course, you enjoy your meal and they send the recipe book and dining out tips to your phone. So preferably, take this course at the beginning of your Rome trip.
