Excellent! Set time to leave out for the trip right on time. From train station take the ferry behind it straight across a 3 minute free ride. They had multiple buses ready and waiting to return at your own leisure. Much better than a group tour.

A really hassle free and economic option for getting to and from the gardens. Easy to find meeting points and well organised. We pre-booked rental bicycles in advance at Van Dam rent-a-bike just 100m from the Keukenhof bus parking. Very convenient. During the 3 hours of cycling we thoroughly enjoyed the many tulip fields under mixed weather conditions of cloud cover, heavy rain, sun and strong winds. So be prepared for all types of weather.

Our Hop on Hop off Holland tour to the flower region departs from This is Holland, Overhoeksplein in Amsterdam. To get to This is Holland, take the free ferry from platform F3 behind Central Station. The ferry shows direction “Buiksloterweg”. It is only a 3-minute ferry ride to the opposite side. When you get off the ferry, turn left. Look up and you will see a round building with the red, white and blue flag of Holland. This building is “This is Holland”. From the ferry, it’s a 3-minute walk. This is Holland is an iconic buiding with a 5D flight experience. Very good trip. We wanted to visit on our own with no time limit and able to go where anything of interest took us. The shuttle bus was ideally suited to this. With half-hourly returns we had freedom for our visit.
