It was an enjoyable experience and something I had never done before. There was no option when booking to pay for a child and my young daughter had to be paid as an adult. However, she enjoyed it and we would look to do something similar in the future.

Full description

York is home to the world's most famous chocolate bars and brands, and there is a lot of love here in the chocolate city for all things cocoa. Join us in our academy and learn how to create your very own chocolate bar. You will discover our cocoa origins, we will show you how to work with tempered chocolate, and you will experiment with different flavours to perfect your masterpiece! Once the bars have set, you will be able to enjoy your beautifully wrapped creations at home.

During this workshop you will:
Discover where cocoa comes from and its origins
Learn we manufacture our chocolate here on site
Try a selection of our own white, milk and dark chocolate
Then work with your chosen chocolate to mould and design a chocolate bar
Flavour & Decorate your chocolate bar

Includes

  • All the ingredients and materials to create a 200g Chocolate Bar to take home to enjoy!
  • Workshop attendees are welcome to use their exclusive 10% discount following the workshop to purchase chocolates and refreshments from our Chocolate Shop and Café.

Excellent activity, Matthew was really informative and helpful & made it a fun experience. We loved that we could take away some of the amazing chocolate that we had melted down and added flavours to at the end!
