Full description

Thrill your inner adventurer with a guided trek along the award-winning Caminito del Rey, a path stretching between El Chorro and the Gaitanes gorge, and built inside the rock more than 100 years ago for the workers of the El Chorro Hydroelectric Power Station.

With suspended walkways and glass observation decks, it’ll be hard not to be astounded by the panoramic views of the Guadalhorce River. Admire as well the intricate boardwalks at over 328 feet (100m) from the ground.

Soak in the beauty of its canyons and large valley as seen from above. Enjoy plenty of photo opportunities and capture the breathtaking scenery, rated as of the best views in the whole of Andalusia.

Along the route, hear about the real story behind the construction of this great work of engineering. Marvel at the original path and carved tunnels. Learn about the local flora, fauna, and geology from this unique natural environment.

Very good experience, compact and well designed for people short in time. Make sure to reach well before time. We almost lost the group despite reaching an hour early because there was no parking available thorough out the area and we lost a lot of time searching for a place to park. But we managed to join our group just after they left. A very good experience with stunning views and a great guide explaining things in details. Don’t miss this experience when in Spain.

You should choose knn beforehand to go without a guide. These tickets were gone. We paid with a guide but after a 1/2 hour wait we were allowed to continue with our group. What turned out to be a dull English voice through our earpiece. After passing the dam, half of the group returned their device and continued alone

The walk was fab. Not too exerting (5km over 3.5 hours), and Clara (our guide) was entertaining, informative, and managed the group well. The parking logistics could have been better arranged and communicated - I recommend future attendees park at the large parking lot pay to catch the bus to the tunnel (2.5 euro pp, per trip - and as at Sept 2022 you need a mask). All in all, we would definitely recommend the walk.
