There were a few spots that lost service and ended up skipping the information point even though we downloaded the tour. We also thought it was more of a “if you look to your left you’ll see ……” but it was a lot of history about road to Hana, which ended up being equally fantastic.

I would recommend it because it has good information and more than just the route and the sights are told, but after number 30 it didn't really work anymore and kept skipping the stops - so I always had to go back on the app. Important! Download the app beforehand because it requires WiFi and can only then be used offline.

The instructions need a bit more explaining to those who aren't so tech savvy. My wife struggled with it. Also, some how you need to get a start location that is actually there. We did not find the Maui center and Google Maps was operating at the same time trying to get us to stops that weren't there. Also, you need to start the story or information sooner to alert people of stops that are coming or could be used. By the time we heard about a stop, we were past it.
