Contact number didn’t work when I was running late

I was 12 minutes late due to cancelled trains, and, although I didn’t expect the tour would wait, I did expect I would be able to contact someone and catch up. They would have probably still been in St Marks square, and I walked around asking tours guides if I was supposed to be in their tour, to no avail. I started trying to call the contact no about half an hour before the meeting time when I realised I wasn’t going to make it. Very disappointed that the contact details provided in the booking were not correct and I had to abandon both the walking tour and the entry to the Doge’s Palace. Expensive lesson.

An educational tour that I can recommend. The Day Palace was really worth seeing. The guides were great. Gave us great tips on restaurants and other activities.

The French speaking guide unfortunately did not show up. The visit to the city went very well: we should have accelerated the pace since for the visit of the Doge's Palace, we were late. We visited it a bit quickly. It is a visit to be made (despite the many tourists): we cannot imagine the grandeur of the palace.
