Overall, it ended up being a good excursion, but we had some bumps along the way. We rented the regular bikes, not realizing we should have gotten "E-bikes" to help with the climb to the lookout and they were all booked so we couldn't switch. The bike I was on was not in good repair and caused a lot of resistance on the tire, which made it about 10 times harder to peddle. Initially, our guide was a little impatient about my lack of speed, but ended up being understanding. One of the turns when we first struck out was very sharp and my daughter lost control and ran into a light pole, which caused significant bruising and a very hurt big toe so she limped her way through the rest of our time in Italy, which greatly impacted her enjoyment of the rest of our trip. We enjoyed the view, but I won't embark on this kind of activity again...at least not without a proper bike. The guide should point out tricky areas and make sure patrons are comfortable with the brakes before departing.

I like to do a bike tour in most cities I visit for the first time. This one was definitely one of the harder ones (Florence is so hilly, obviously) but it was also one of the most rewarding ones. The views were incredible but since we were going up and down hilly paths, we didn't get a chance to stop at some of the more picturesque spots. Also I feel like we could have had more guidance on when to turn up or turn down our electric assistance on the bike (Ex: when it's less crowded on a straight-forward path you can go up to 3, hills mandate a level 5 and then level 1 or off when it's crazy crowded.) I think our tour guide underestimated how difficult it would be for some to bike in the crowd near the Duomo; there was heavy foot traffic there so it may have been better to walk our bikes in some of that area.

Danielli, our guide was exceptional. We learned so much about the city and he kept us interested during our route around this beautiful place. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great so it was a damp experience, but we enjoyed every minute. Thanks Danielli :-)
