Probably the most unique cooking/baking activity on GetMyGuide. Our guide was very informative about the cheese making process, types of cheese, and history of cheese. At the end we got to try a variety of cheeses and our own. You can also take the rest of the butter you make with you.

Full description

Meet at the Paroles de Fromagers cheese shop, where you will be greeted by your cheese master and the rest of your group. First, visit the cheese-aging cellar located at the school. See and smell a wide variety of typical French cheeses that are slowly maturing into their final textures and flavors.

Then, make your way to the cheese-making room. Learn how to create "tomme fraiche" cheese and an amazing artisanal butter. This cheese has a slightly milky acidic taste and is used for melting on a variety of traditional dishes. 

Upon completion of the workshop, taste your creations accompanied by some wonderful local wine, for an authentic French culinary experience.

The experience was very interesting and fun. Our cheese-master Gabriele was great at explaining concepts and methods. We learnt a lot in a short period of time about cheese and butter and the final result was amazing. The wine-cheese tasting at the end was the perfect end to the workshop.
