Surfing lesson was great. We had a small group of 3 and it worked perfectly with our instructor. Just need to figure out a spot maybe with a sign or something regarding where to meet, as it was a little confusing with other surf companies working in same area. No one had heard of surf yoga.

Booked for 2 adults and 1 child. None of us have ever been on a board. We made it very clear to the instructor. He was very nice but only problem is that he pushed my 7 year old to shore by herself 1st while he and myself and my husband were out in the water. She got stuck at the shore break, wiped out and couldn’t pull herself or her board out and had to be rescued by a bystander. The ocean was rough that day. He should have sent me out first to be there when she came in to shore. I’m really upset and disappointed. Wound up quitting early because she sat at the shore by herself. Bottom line, not a good experience for children even though I emailed them ahead of time to ask if it was ok for her age and was told they love working with children. I would have preferred for her to have more personalized attention. Poipu beach is not as calm as it’s made out to be this time of year. Be careful with your kids
