Through archival footage, photographs, timelines, and a specialist media guide, experience the world where John Lennon played as a child and what happened behind the famous red gates. Immerse yourself in the life and times of Lennon through interactive exhibitions, and then enjoy a walk through the garden and woods, which some visitors claim to be a spiritually lifting experience. We visited a John Lennon birthday celebration with live singers. It was in the cafe area but was well attended, plus there is a well stocked gift shop. We enjoyed the experience which included a tour of the museum, making it very good value. A lovely building with interesting gardens and a nice cafe. Free car parking. Highly recommended if you are interested in the work of the salvation army and/ or John Lennon.

The most interesting place I have visited in years. Stunning exhibition area. Wonderful peaceful garden. Cafe great value. Strawberry Fields give such a brilliant experience of the History and more important, the future of this much deserved award winning attraction. They are doing a superb job inviting the local community to participate and giving the opportunity to help people adjust. Well done The Salvation Army and all of the permanent and voluntary staff. Highly recommend that you visit.

It was a lovely experience. The gardens felt so peaceful we spent quite a long time taking in the atmosphere. Then we went into the house where the exhibition is housed. We found the history of the Salvation Army very interesting and we found out about the connections with John Lennon fascinating. There’s also a cafe/restaurant serving delicious food. Well worth a visit - oh and we enjoyed the mini bus ride from Albert Docks!
