Full description
For many visitors to Seville, going out for tapas is the quintessential Spanish experience. On this 3.5 - 4-hour tour you will be taken to the best local bodegas and tapas bars where you can try the best tapas. From the most traditional tapas to tapas with a modern twist, all the places will leave you asking for more. And of course it makes perfect sense to accompany all this tapas with a good glass of wine. The tour guide will help you discover the aromas and flavors of the best wines to go with the mouth-watering Spanish cuisine. There are several routes to choose from: • Triana Route: According to many residents of the Triana neighborhood, crossing to this side of the river is like entering another city. This neighborhood is famous for being one of the birthplaces of flamenco and many of Seville's great bullfighters. Here you will find countless bars and taverns where you can sample some of the most traditional tapas in Seville. • Alternative Route: In the 1980s this neighborhood was one of the most troubled in the city with a great number of brothels. Today, it is a center for culture and boasts the most alternative atmosphere in the city making it a great place to discover interesting and modern tapas that push the boundaries of this cuisine to new heights. • Traditional Grocer's Store Route: This traditional concept that was considered old and unexciting a few years ago, has come back to be the new thing. Many of these enticing grocer's stores have popped up all over the city offering great quality tapas, particularly cold meats, conserves, and select cheeses. • Cured Ham Route: The star of Spanish cuisine, you will find cured hams hanging in most bars and restaurants in Seville. On this route you can try the finest regional hams and learn a bit more about this essential and valuable ingredient of Spanish gastronomy.

Worth Waiting For!!

Our guide Philipo was a little late! When he arrived we jumped right in with the tour! Four tapas stops, way too much wonderful food! Each place was welcoming and comfortable! Philipo asked what we liked and ordered according to our wishes and The specialties of the house. There were four of us and we could all go back to the four restaurants and feel like we fit in!! We would all do this tour again!! Philipo was knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting with the information he shared!

A beautiful town with great food.

The tour itself was very good. My only disappointment was that our cruise ship arrived at 1:00. By the time we reached Sevilla, most of the eateries were closing. Our guide took us to an authentic Spanish market where we shared approximately 5 different tapas. We let our guide choose the tapas which were all very good and very different. We then moved on to another tapas bar. We shared approximately 5 tapas dishes along with wine. We had the restaurant to ourselves as it was almost closing time (siesta time). I would have enjoyed having fewer tapas and visiting more restaurants but under the time restraints it was not possible. Our guide was very knowledgeable and courteous. I would recommend this tour for an authentic Spanish experience. On the way back to the port, our guide used his cell phone while driving which made us a little uneasy. Not comfortable with people texting and driving.

Absolute amazing tour - We can highly reccommend!!!

In every new city we visit we try to make a food tour to meet inhabitants who show us their way of life, their food and their secret places that a usual tourist would never get to know. This was really one of the best tours we had done so far! We enjoyed about 12 different tapas in 4 different places on our tour in Macarena. Our guide was very kind and at the end of our tour he showed us a secret place where all the spanish meet in the evening. All in all it was very interesting and tasty experience that we can absolutely reccommend!
