Take a train to the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey enshrining the famed statue, the Virgin of Montserrat, and marvel at spectacular views of the mountain.

Head to the Montserrat mountain range, located near Barcelona in the natural environment of Catalonia. Upon arrival, enjoy an informative audiovisual about Montserrat. Admire Montserrat's unique jagged features, multiple peaks, serrated edges, and spectacular rock formations.

Next, visit the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey — a pilgrimage site due to the abbey's celebrated statue, the Virgin of Montserrat —by riding a zip train up the mountain. Delight in wonderful views of the mountain range, and explore the Benedictine monastery that was founded in the 11th century. See the monks who still inhabit the monastery to this day, and discover one of the oldest boys’ choirs in Europe, the Escolania de Monserrat.

The bus turned up on time, the guide (Natalie) was lovely, she gave us her knowledge in multiple languages and made sure everyone knew where to be and at what time. Amazing views, and interesting history. So glad we did it

I liked my trip, because Montserrat is beautiful and worth to visit. I would like to spend more time in the mountains. 6 hours in the bus was tiring and only 3 hours in the montain was not enough. The guide spoke in three different languages. Our driver was friendly. Trip included the guide, transportation and train to the Montserrat. The cable car wasn't included and we had to pay it. The guide didn't even gave information about different cable cars. We walked up to the top about 45 minutes and after we took a cable car. There were fantastic views. I recommend this trip.
