Bilbao: Bilbao Estuary and Abra Bay Boat Tour

Tour was nice but snacks & a drink would’ve been nice

The term „hop on - hop off“ is unfortunately somewhat misleading. However, I can recommend getting off in Portugalete on the return journey to Bilbao to "take along" the Bizkaiko ZUbia and then travelling back to Bilbao from Getxo by bus.

Best way to see parts of Bilbao that even the locals have never seen. Great history lesson either on the speakers in the boat or on audio but you’ll need to bring your own earphones. Bring a coat or jacket as can get chilly depending on the weather. Sat at the back but too many fumes that after a while became overpowering. Sat at the front and no fumes but a little windy and chilly especially as you get out towards the sea. Fumes also indoor but just open the sliding windows and it cancels it out. Pleasant way to spend 2h 45min and keep you out of the shops, bars saving you some money. Drinks on offer on board and not too expensive alcoholic and non alcoholic available. Toilet was clean and always free though only 8 people on our tour so loads of room to change seats. Staff really helpful and friendly even charged my phone for me as ran out of battery I took that many photographs. If you only do one thing in Bilbao do this tour you won’t regret it. 👍🏻⛴️
