We loved the tour! The guide and the driver were both excellent. We learned tons about Mexico, PV, and San Sabastián. The tequila tour was done well by the charming distillery owners, with about ten small tastings of their various products. The coffee tour was interesting and historical, too. The meal was wonderful. They served the first mole that I have actually liked, plus they served a dish I had recently been introduced to, machaca. Num! The only downside is that it took forever to get to the meeting point where the tour actually begins and ends. The way transportation works is that you get picked up at or near your hotel. The motor coach works it’s way to a central meeting point where people are sorted by their tour destination and sent on their way. That process took 1 hour going and 1.5 hours returning. Fortunately, Miguel was such a great tour guide that it made up for the transportation inconvenience. Am I glad that I took the tour? Yes! Would I do it again?

Miguel was our very educated & humorous tour guide. He can tell you everything you need to know about the history then and now about every town we pass, on the way and about San Sebastian. He has been there many times himself. He is fascinating to listen to. The felt very safe with the driver as well. The town of Sebastian is very old and Miguel brought us on a walking tour of the town, explaining everything. The town seems so European. It is so charming. The included lunch is so tasty! Its a real mexican meal, with items I have never tried but will be seeking again. Take your camera. It is so picturesque.

The trip was great, the guide was amazing. The transportation was horrible! We were stuck in the back of a raised roof van. I am 5’5” and my head smacked the roof each time we went over a bump. My news were crammed into the seat in front of me. My husband and I could not see outside at all. It was the worst part of the trip. So sad we couldn’t see the countryside as we drove for over 1.5 hours to the destination
