This tour is perfect if you want to spend your morning getting a taste of Montserrat without dealing the finding your way on public transport! The cost to get there on your own via public transportatiom and tickets for the basicilica come out not far from the cost of the tour. So don't bother with the hassle of the public transport and book the tour! Victoria was a wonderful guide who shared great information as we went along. As mentioned, the tour includes admission into the basilica, which I noticed not all tours do. Then we were given free time to explore. Perhaps a little more time would be nice, but there is so much to do and see in Barcelona, it was nice to experience Montserrat but be back by 1pm to fill the rest of our day with more experiences. The van ride up allowed opportunities for great views, and by taking a different way back we were able to see even more! We are glad we did this tour.

We were pleasantly surprised that we were the only ones on the tour today but our guide was a wealth of knowledge that it did not feel awkward at all. The ride was comfort able, clean and we got to montserrat WAAY before the bigger tour groups. We also did the vineyard tour and our guide there was so wonderful and sweet. It felt almost like we were on a private vineyard tour!!! I’m so happy we did this trip and would HIGHLY recommend!

The meeting point is at Av. Diagonal 355, on the narrow sidewalk in-between the two vehicle-accessible streets. The guide will be waiting with a City Wonders flag Arriving by metro: Coming from Diagonal metro station (located on Passeig de Gracia), go up one block to reach Av Diagonal. Take a right turn and walk 2.5 blocks to reach Av Diagonal 355.

Had a great time! We were with a small group of 5 people creating an intimate experience. Our guide Muriel was very pleasant and informative. The wine tasting was set in a small and exquisite winery where we tasted some delicious wines. Would definitely recommend.
