Take this full-day adventure tour to Trolltunga, the Troll’s Tongue. Hiking up the amazing valley and climbing a via ferrata to the Trolltunga Plateau. Admire the views from the world-famous Trolltunga. Meet at the local partner’s office in the morning. The tour starts with 6-kilometer on an old gravel road along the beautiful Ringedalen Lake. The 6 km is divided into 2 km transport with a car, and then we hike the last 4 km. At the end of the road, ca 1 km with steep uphill hike will bring you to the start of the via ferrata. Steep, but the good news is that for every step uphill, the view gets better and better. And at then end you will find yourself enjoy the view as you climb 250 meters up the rockface, helped by metal rungs and a strong cable. At the top you’ll have a short lunch at the Endåne viewpoint. From there, hike 3 kilometers to arrive at Trolltunga. Take in the spectacular scenery, before making the return trip along the tourist trail.

At Endenut you’ll settle in at Trolltunga Sunset Dome, a campsite not far from Trolltunga. The guide will prepare a delicious outdoor dinner, tasting even better combined with the stunning views towards the Ringedalen lake, Tyssebotn, and Trolltunga. Watch the sun disappearing behind the Folgefonna glacier and end the evening at the Trolltunga Sunset Dome, while listening to Norwegian fairy tales. The next morning enjoy breakfast with freshly baked bread and the beautiful, intense, magical nature.

During Autumn all hikes to Trolltunga start on P2 parking in Skjeggedal. A long yet unforgettable day liesahead of you. Normally, it is necessary to walk with micro spikes part of the tour. First you must “conquer” the steep uphill. This hike is a challenge, but you are prepared! All you hear is the crunching sound ofyour spikes breaking the ice layer and your breath. The fresh mountain airfills your lungs, and you finally reach the top of that long hill. Soon you find so many marvels alongthe way to Trolltunga - incredible views, mix of autumn colors, snow, all seasons. The Ringedalen valley and amazingview towards the Folgefonni Glacier. Even your simple sandwich for lunch tastes like a Michelin Star dish up here. We keep on going to see what is coming next. You will be rewarded withTrolltunga in its winter suit majestically rising above the half-frozen Ringedal lake. The clouds rolling in, fighting with the beam of the sun. Be aware that the weather during the Norwegian autumn is unpredictable, it can change at any time. This is nature,it is pure and real up here! But do not worry, your guides are educated inreading the mountain conditions and has a lot of experience in this terrain.Your safety is our priority! In wintertime, all hikes to Trolltunga start on P2 parking in Skjeggedal. Normally, it is necessary to walk with micro spikes or snowshoes a large part of the tour, that is why the hike during this season is more challenging. On the way up here, we stop by in our base camp and leave our backpacks here. Ahead of us is only the last short stretch to Trolltunga.   As the evening closes slowly in, we meet the last hikers going down. Once we reach Trolltunga, we are alone out there. A scary thought? Not at all. Because you know where you are staying tonight. You can look forward to a cup of hot chocolate, a warming fire and a delicious dinner. Yes, it is cold outside, and it is getting dark early. But once we are back in the domes, you can always curl up in your fluffy sleeping bag. After a long day out in nature, all is left is to relax and enjoy the spectacular night skies. Be aware that the weather during the Norwegian winter is unpredictable, it can change at any time. This is nature, it is pure and real up here! But do not worry, your guides are educated in reading the mountain conditions and has a lot of experience in this terrain. Your safety is our priority! That is why on the iciest days, we cannot guarantee that it will be safe to go down on the rock itself. Take a RIB tour from the center of Odda to discover the Hardangerfjord area. Board the boat at the harbor in Odda, and set off. Pass the hydroelectric power plant in Tyssedal as your guide tells you about the importance of water to Norway’s industrialization. Continue to Ullensvang, the fruit garden of Norway. On both sides of the fjord you will see steep mountains, and hillsides filled with small fruit farms growing apples, cherries, pears, and plums. Explore different attractions and look out for local wildlife. Listen to the fascinating stories about the culture and history of the area, told by your guide. The tour then ends back in Odda.

The trip begins in Bergen, where we’ll pick you up directly from your hotel. The driver will pick you up at your hotel on time. After half an hour on tour we´ll have a stop at the Trengereid lookout and Bakery. Here you find also public toilets. The next stop will be the Steinsdalsfossen waterfall. You can walk along the back of this waterfall without getting wet. It is one of the most visited waterfalls in Norway. At about 12:00 we will arrive at Spildegarden Sider Farm in Øystese from where you have a spectacular view over the Hardanger Fjord. Here we will have our lunch break. First there is a short guided tour of the farm and afterwards we go to dining room which is extremely cozy with a fireplace. For lunch there is a traditional soup with local food as well as apple pie, coffee/tea, a glass of apple juice and a glass of apple sider. We stay here for just an hour and continue on our way at around 13:00. After a drive of about 40 minutes, always along the Hardangerfjord, we reach the ferry in Kvandal. The ferry departs at 2 p.m., the crossing takes only 20 minutes. On arrival in Utne, we head straight to the historic Hotel Utne, waffles and a café are already waiting for us. Located just a few steps from Ferry dock, Norway's oldest preserved wooden hotel offers 17 individually designed rooms and a charming atmosphere for authentic experiences. The location by the fjord is breathtaking and the hotel's gardens are beautiful. A real gem! The route from Utne to Jondal is a scenic drive along the Hardangerfjord on road 550. The distance between the two towns is about 36 km and the drive takes about 35 minutes. Along the way we can enjoy the beautiful scenery and admire the orchards that are characteristic of the region. This trip is highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore Norway's beautiful nature. We will make photo stops along the way as often as weather and time permit. The ferry from Jondal to Tørvikbygd departs at 15:20 on the dot. We cross the main arm of the Hardangerfjord here. There are toilets and a self-service café on the ferry. You can also go to the upper car deck and take photos from there. The landscape is stunning. The crossing only takes 20 minutes. At 15:40 the ferry docks in Tørvikbygd. From here, we make our way directly to Bergen. The drive back to Bergen takes about an hour and a half. Arrival at your Hotel in Bergen shortly after 17 p.m. So you still have enough time to find a suitable restaurant for dinner. You had a wonderful day :-)
