There are two trains per hour from there, and you can take any of the non-reserved coaches. You can also get off at Shinagawa Station (one stop before Tokyo) and transfer to the Yamanote Line (with the same Shinkansen ticket) to reach Shinjuku or other destinations along the Yamanote Line. Along the stone staircase, you will see the Shiogama and Atago Shrines, dedicated to safe childbirth and fire protection, respectively. After ascending either the Sakuya-Hime staircase (398 steps) or gentler sloping path, you will reach the stunning five-story Churei-to Pagoda and the observatory deck. If you join on Wednesday or Sunday, we will travel to Tenku no Torii, the "Torii Gate in the Sky." Located above Kawaguchi Asama Shrine, it was built as a sacred spot to worship Mt. Fuji, which stands tall in the distance. The gate has gone viral on social media for how it frames Mt. Fuji perfectly for pictures. The Kawaguchi Asama Shrine was built in the 7th year of the Jogen Era (865) in order to calm the thundering Mt. Fuji which erupted the year before. Today, it's one of the few sites that belong under the UNESCO Fujisan World Heritage Site umbrella. From Kawaguchi Asama Shrine, it takes up to 20 minutes of uphill walking to reach Tenku no Torii. The "hakkai" in Oshino Hakkai means "eight seas" in Japanese, referring to eight pristine ponds formed from melted snow from Mt. Fuji’s peak, filtered through volcanic rock over an 80-year-long process. Located in Yamanashi Prefecture, the "Fruit Kingdom" of Japan, Oshino Hakkai features large markets and smaller local vendors offering local wine, fresh fruit, souvenirs, and regional treats. After wrapping up, we'll head back to Shinjuku.

Depart from Shinjuku in Tokyo to the scenic areas of Hakone near Mount Fuji. First, cruise on a well-decorated pirate boat to enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Fuji around the green on Lake Ashinoko. After viewing the mountain from the water, view it in the air by taking the Hakone Ropeway up to Mount Hakone, where you can see a clear view of Mount Fuji from another mountain.  The Ohwakudani, Great Boiling Valley, is another famous volcano, which erupted 4,000 years ago with live white sulfur escaping. Try the local Black Boiled Egg, Kuro Tamago, to see whether the legend is true and that it extends your life for seven years. In the afternoon choose to visit Gotemba Premium Outlets for around 2 hours. Gotemba premium outlet is one of the largest outlets in Japan, you can see Mount Fuji from inside the outlet.  The other choice is to experience the famous hot spring from which you can enjoy a view of Mount Fuji view. Hot springs are one of the most famous cultures of Japan and many tourists like to experience it when they visit. Return to Shinjuku by 6:00 PM.

Due to the presence of toxic hot springs, Owakudani is sometimes referred to as "Hell Valley." It wasn’t until 1876, when Emperor Meiji visited, that the name was changed to Owakudani. Must-Try Snack: Black Eggs About a 15-minute hike from the entrance of the Natural Science Trail will lead you to "Tamago Chaya," where you can try the famous black eggs, said to add seven years to your life.
