See the Jewish Western Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Proceed to the New City to visit Yad Vashem; the Jewish memorial to the Holocaust. On Saturdays and Jewish holidays, instead of Yad Vashem, drive to Ein Karem, traditionally known as birthplace of John the Baptist; stroll in the narrow lanes of the picturesque village stopping by Mary's spring before continuing to visit the Church of Saint John the Ba...

Mount Olive part was great , so was the Western wall , but 10 minutes at the Holy Sepulchre absolutely not enough. This is one the most important churches in the history of Christianity and we were given 10 minutes by our guide to explore. Afterwards , we were spent two hours at the Holocaust museum. I know that Holocaust is very important for Jewish people , but the time spent at different places should be more balanced. This trip wasn’t . Don’t advertise the Holy Sepulchre if you stop in front of the Church for 10 minutes, it is misleading your potential customers , tourists.

David Ringler is an awesome guide. With a group of 7 friends, we needed to leave a little later, no issue. The program was very fluid, adjusting to our needs. He is very upbeat and knowledgeable, speaks 7 languages and is very sociable. Even though no food/beverages were included, he bought water, beer, shisha... He will make sure the car is cool when you get back. He will get you to the quiet beach at the Dead Sea. Make sure to carve ample of time out, his stories might take a little longer than you've planned time for! :-)

Ehud picked us up at a private residence in Natanya for our full day tour of Nazareth and Galilee. He was punctual and had an amazing day planned for us. His car was luxurious, spacious and very well kept. He kept us ahead of the large crowds and made sure we had space to see the sites and hear his knowledgeable and thorough explainations. We had a lovely lunch and were able to try the St Peter fish which was delicious. He surprised us at the end of the tour with a trip to the oldest kibbutz in Israel and then delivered us to our hotel in Jerusalem. An amazing day and an amazing guide! We highly recommend him.

  • From Jerusalem: Petra Day Tour

    7. From Jerusalem: Petra Day Tour

Start your tour at 3:00 AM with pickup at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem. Then, drive through the desert in a comfortable vehicle until you reach the Arava Border. Cross the border with assistants, a procedure which may take up to an hour.  At 8:30 AM, transfer from the border to Petra in a new air-conditioned vehicle. This ride takes approximately 2-3 hours.  Enjoy the scenic route along the mountainside before arriving at Petra's historical site, known as one of the New7Wonders of the World.   At approximately 11:30 AM, begin your tour of Petra at the entrance to the site with a maximum group size of 25 people. Explore the highlights of this impressive site with your guide. Next, start your journey towards Aqaba at 4:30 PM. Make a few stops at certain observations points along the way to appreciate the beautiful landscapes that Wadi Rum has to offer. At 7:30 PM, return to the ...

The 21 hour trip is hard because of the driving (appx. six+ hours each way ),and a slow, very disorganized border crossing, but the Petra experience is worth it. We loved that we were able to go and next time, will plan a two-day trip with one night at a hotel. There is so much to see and nowhere near enough time to enjoy it all. Petra is absolutely astounding! Also, the "lunch" bag had terrible food - a plain, dry bagel with nothing inside, a very brown banana, one apple and one orange, a juice drink box (not real juice, but sugar and water), and an expired-date wafer bar. Our bar said it was good until December 2019 and clearly we are way past that . Considering we paid $300 pp, plus the extra fees of $125pp, a better lunch would have been reasonable to expect. Perhaps a quick lunch at a plaza cafe?

Malkon was a true professional guide which we didn't expect through Locafy because it says it doesn't include a professional guide. We were so lucky to have him as a guide. We would have missed so much if we just walked around by ourselves. He asked us first what our interests are before starting the tour so he can cover them in just two hours. He was so knowledge, had a thorough understanding in the history of the old city and very very friendly! Also communication via WhatsApp was very smooth and helpful in getting advice and finding each other at the meeting point. Thank you so much again Malkon! You made the tour so memorable and valuable for us!!
