  • Petra, Jerash and Amman: 2-Day Tour from Jerusalem

    1. Petra, Jerash and Amman: 2-Day Tour from Jerusalem

This 2-day Jordan tour leaves from Jerusalem and includes visits to the incredible cities of Jerash and Amman, as well as Petra. Authentic meals, an overnight stay with local Bedouins and a full day in Petra are all part of the package. Depart Jerusalem in the morning on a drive up the Israeli side of the Jordan Valley. Enjoy views of the stunning landscapes and then cross the border at the Sheikh Hussein Bridge in the north. You’ll have spectacular views of northern Jordan before arriving at the ancient city of Jerash, an incredibly well-preserved Roman city featuring colonnaded streets, baths, theaters, temples and a hippodrome. See a striking blend of Eastern and Western architectural traditions. Your next stop is Jordan’s capital city of Amman. Visit both the modern downtown area of the city, now the economic, political and cultural center of Jordan, and also the old Citadel above...

This was a fantastic tour! Our guide, Rania, was very knowledgeable about every site we saw, and our driver, Mustafa, was friendly and efficient. The Bedouin camp was amazing, and the lunches we stopped for were also excellent. The only thing I would note is that you need to have 107 NIS for the Israeli exit fee and at least 60 Jordanian dinars (or US equivalent)—there is no ATM at the border as some people on our tour were told.

A very interesting tour. It shows that people follow their lives despite the difficulties, as well as the desire to leave conflicts behind and live peacefully. It also shows the attitude of the inhabitants of the West Bank to welcome and show that you can travel there, without danger.
