Day 1: Start your day with pick up at your hotel in Ulaanbaatar and drive to Karakorum (360 km away), the past capital of Great Mongolian State. Enjoy a half-day Karakorum tour to visit the signature Erdene Zuu Monastery, and Karakorum Museum to learn about its regional history. After a local dinner, spend a night at the traditional ger guesthouse. Marvel at the clear sky filled with stars and spot milky way. Day 2: After breakfast, drive to Elsen tasarkhai (70 km away), known as semi-gobi for its similar natural features to the famous Gobi desert. Ride 2-humped camels for the ultimate desert experience over endless sand dunes. Have a local-style lunch and drive to Semi-gobi (270 km away) to visit a nomadic family, experience their daily life, and taste organic dairy products. Spend the night in the nomadic family home after dinner. Day 3: Drive to Ulaanbaatar (276 km way) and transfer to your accommodation in the city directly. Begin the tour by being picked up from your hotel in Ulaanbaatar at 8:30-9:00 am and travel to Kharkhorum City. Kharkhorin is the site of the ancient capital of the Great Mongolian Empire in the thirteenth century. It is located on the right bank of the Orkhon River, 80 km south-west of Semi-Gobi. Explore the Erdenezuu monastery a focal point in the history and culture of the Mongolian people and visit the Kharkhorum museum. Travel in the Semi-Gobi Desert on day two of the tour. This area of the Mongolian countryside is exactly as it sounds: partially arid desert but surrounded by a green mountainous backdrop. Driving through the Mongolian steppe, we'll reach the desert. We'll then meet a local family who will tell us all about their traditional nomadic lifestyle. Evening Sleep in Ger/Yurt Immerse yourself in desert life enjoying a camel ride through the arid landscapes of the Semi Gobi, admiring the dunes and mountains of Mongolia most excitingly. In the evening, you can play traditional folk games as part of an unofficial program. You'll be dropped back off at your hotel for around 6-7 pm.

Visit the Mongolian National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble to watch a traditional 90-minute show of various art forms. You can choose the option that includes a convenient pickup from your hotel. Hear the famous Mongolian throat singing, see musicians playing indigenous instruments, and be amazed as contortionists will perform incredible acrobatic movements.
