Great day. Highly recommend taking a local guide. Toribio our guide was fantastic from navigating the crowds in Aguas Caliente trying to get the bus up to his knowledge of the history, flora and fauna of the region. We never once felt rushed and he knew the best photo sites. Toribio really made this once in a lifetime experience exceptional

Our guide was a wealth of knowledge and I learned so much. It was a wonderful tour and I'm so glad I did it. I do wish that we hadn't stopped at three places outside of our itinerary and were pressured to buy things from them. This took over an hour out of our tour and it was frustrating to me.

It was so spectacular, I can't suggest any improvements. Our guide Viktur was always "on the spot." As a 79 year old, I was often a few minutes behind the others who spanned 55 to 20. Viktur stayed with me and was always encouraging and patient and we stayed right on schedule.

Seeing Machu Picchu was a lifetime dream of mine! The morning was rainy and foggy but it cleared up soon after sunrise. Take the extra time to hike to the top of Waina Picchu if you can as well. Absolutely fabulous!

The official ticket may be sent a little earlier than the evening before the trip.
