This tour begins with our free pickup service in central Reykjavík. We head out of the city to begin our day in the wonderful Icelandic countryside. Kerið is a volcanic crater formed after an enormous eruption over 1000 years ago. Enjoy the view along the crater top walkway or descend the steps to the lake below. Great photo opportunities are to be found from each vantage point. TFriðheimar farm is a geothermally heated greenhouse and horse farm. Here you will meet the tiny icelandic horse and see a horse show demonstration of their unique gaits. Next up you will be taken on a tour of the greenhouse where tomatoes and cucumbers are produced to an impressive scale. Explore Geysir geothermal park, home of the eponymous Geysir, though it is its younger sister Strokkur that now erupts regularly. You will have time to witness several eruptions as it erupts every 7-10 minutes or so. Take a leisurely walk around an see other bubbling pools with the distinctive sulfur smell lingering heavily in the air. Just a short drive from Geysir, lies the immensely powerful waterfall, Gullfoss. This waterfall lies on the Hvitá river which itself is fed by meltwater from Langjökull glacier to the north. Here you are met first by the water mist from the falls before you even see them. Take the walking path down to the falls or stay to the higher path for a bird´s eye view. There is no wrong choice here. Thingvellir National Park is a UNESCO world heritage site. Here Icelanders met in an ancient parliament assembly, the longest continuous assembly is the world, though now located in Reykjavík. But perhaps more significantly here one can visibly see the continental rift between the american and euroasian tectonic plates, a rift increasing in size by the year. Walk between the continents! We visit one of Iceland´s most beloved geothermal lagoon, Sky Lagoon. Treat yourself with entrance to the geothermal baths at Krauma, where multiple outdoor pools are heated by the Deildartunguhver hot spring. You’ll have access to six baths – five warm and one cold – as well as two steam rooms. There are outdoor showers and a relaxation room, where guests can lie back and enjoy a warm fire. Bathrobes are available to rent, and the dressing rooms provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, body lotion, and hair dryers. Feeling hungry? Get back to nature and discover the icons of the Golden Circle on a full-day tour from Reykjavik. Enter historic Thingcelli National Park, where the national parliament was founded in 930 A.D. After being picked up from your accommodation, you will travel west to the historic area of Borgarfjörður, a region that can be regarded as the setting for most of the Icelandic sagas. First, visit the charming Glanni Waterfall and Deildartunguhver Geothermal Area. Afterward, you will see the great Hraunfossar, a series of waterfalls spread at a distance of around 900 meters. The waters flow out of the Hallmundarhraun, a lava field that was formed around 1,000 years ago during a massive eruption of a volcano lying under a Langjökull glacier. Rivulets streaming from the lava field create one of the most breath-taking views in Iceland, and just a few meters away, you will find another interesting waterfall.  The highlight of the tour is a visit to a colorful Vidgelmir lava cave. Just shy of 1,600 meters in length, the cave features amazing colors and lava formations that lurk in the depths of the earth. The area surrounding the entrance to the cave will allow you to realize just how powerful eruptions of volcanoes can be. Lastly, visit the Reykholt historic site where you can learn about the history of Iceland and see Snorralaug, small hot spring used by local people since the 12th century. This place was first mentioned in medieval writings OF Snorri Sturluson, the famous Icelandic poet, and politician who used to bathe there.

Travel safely and comfortably from Reykjavik to the Golden Circle on a day tour to some of Iceland’s most stunning sights. The tour also includes the historical and geological wonder that is Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates pull apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year.

Start in Reykjavik and head to Borgarnes, the gateway to West Iceland. Make your first stop at Deildartunguhver, the most powerful hot spring in Europe, which is so strong that it provides hot water and power for the locals for miles around. Spend some time walking amongst the steaming clouds of vapor. Move onto Hraunfossar, also known as the "Lava Waterfalls." Take in the sight from several viewing platforms and see how the water stretches for nearly a kilometer over ancient lava fields, with meltwater from the Langjokull glacier pouring into the Hvita river. Just a few yards away is Barnafoss, also known as “the waterfall of the children,” named after the tragic tale of two local children. Your next stop is Husafell, a breathtaking woodland oasis and a historical site with traditional turf houses and even some “elf huts” to delight the children, too. See intriguing works by local artists, as well as the famous “Lifting Stone of Husafell.” From Husafell, be transported in 4x4 cars further inland to the Deildargil Canyon, where you’ll see Langifoss, a towering two-tiered waterfall off the beaten path and which few people know of. Continue to the highlight of the tour, the Canyon Baths, for a traditional Icelandic hot spring experience at a sustainable, remote location found deep in the magnificent Hringsgil canyon. Bathe in 3 geothermally-heated stone pools of varying temperatures (30-41°C or 86-105°F), along with a cold-water pool and a cooling waterfall. Day 1: Golden Circle and South Coast The adventure begins with a pickup in Reykjavik then visit the popular Golden Circle attractions of Thingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss. Then make your way to the impressive South Coast where you will be greeted by the magnificent waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Explore Reynisfjara black sand beach with the glorious Reynisdrangar peaks and visit the basalt column cave before reaching your accommodation for the night. Day 2: Vik, Skaftafell, and Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon After breakfast at your hotel, journey further south towards the charming village of Vik. Make a stop at the unique and photogenic black sand beach of Reynisfjara. After visiting Vik, make your way to the famous Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon with its floating icebergs. The nearby Diamond beach is also on today's agenda. See icebergs that have washed ashore glistening like diamonds on the black sand beach, leaving you feeling like you just stepped into a movie scene. Your accommodation for the night will be in the South East area. Day 3: East Fjords Today is all about exploring the East Fjords of Iceland. We'll be stopping at Djupivogur fishing village. Afterwards we'll be spending the day in an authentic live history in the Wilderness Center that offers various activities, such as hiking, biking, horse riding as well as provides accommodation, restaurant and spa services. We'll be finishing the day soaking in a hot spring spa in the authentic bathhouse made from stones. Day 4: Studlagil Canyon, Myvatn, and Akureyri Drive through the wilderness of Modrudalur to make your way to the capital of the North, Akureyri. Today's highlights include a visit to Lake Myvatn, where you can enjoy a relaxing bath in the hot spring pools of Myvatn Nature Baths. Finally, see the dreamy Godafoss waterfall. Your accommodation for the night will be at a country hotel near Akureyri.  Day 5: Whale Watching, Siglufjordur, and Trollaskagi The day starts by driving towards Dalvik for a whale-watching adventure. After your adventure at sea, we drive through the fishing village of Siglufjordur, which is a charming village rich in history, and the Trollaskagi peninsula, with some of the best ocean scenery you will see. Make your way to your accommodation for the night in the Northwest area.   Day 6: Visit the West Iceland region The day begins with a short hike up to Grábrók, a volcano crater. Stop at Deildartunguhver hot spring, the legendary waterfall, Barnafoss, (the Children´s Waterfall), and the Hraunfossar cascade. You'll also visit Reykholt, home to Snorri Sturluson, the Icelandic historian, lawyer, politician, poet, and the author of some Icelandic Sagas. On the way back to Reykjavik you'll drive around the scenic fjord, Hvalfjörður (Whale Fjord).
