There are 3 tour options: Option A: Astrolabe Beaches and Bays Walking distance: 7 km Walking time: 2.5 hours Details: After a scenic cruise, you’ll be dropped off at Apple Tree Bay at 12 PM, for a walk to Anchorage Beach. There is also the option of adding the 1-hour Pitt Head loop track to Te Pukatea Beach. Pick-up in Anchorage at 3:45 or 5:00 PM** Arrival in Kaiteriteri at 4:20 or 5:30 PM** Option B: Forest and Swing Bridge Walking distance: 10.5 km Walking time: 4 hours Details: Following a scenic cruise, you'll be dropped off at Medlands Beach at 11:30 AM for an interesting walk to Anchorage Beach that includes the scenic highlights of the South Head lookout, the famous Falls River swing bridge and Cleopatra’s Pool. Pick-up in Anchorage at 3:45 or 5:00 PM** Arrival in Kaiteriteri at 4:20 or 5:30 PM** Option C: 5 Beaches Walking distance: 8.8 km Walking time: 3.5 hours Details: After a scenic cruise, you'll be dropped off at Awaroa at 11:00 AM and enjoy a walk that takes in 5 beaches between Awaroa and your pick-up point at Medlands Beach. This option also features the option of stopping at the Awaroa Lodge Café, where you can enjoy the excellent views and native forests as well as a waterfall and lagoon at Bark Bay. Note that a steep climb from Tonga Quarry requires a reasonable level of fitness. Begin your full day of adventure from Kaiteriteri beach where you will hop on a water taxi for a 30-minute scenic cruise to Anchorage Bay of Abel Tasman National Park. Upon arrival in Anchorage, enjoy an easy 1.5-hour self-guided walk around Pitt Head Loop track, with panoramic views over the park. Arrive at one of the favorite local beaches at Te Pukatea Bay. Board the sailing yacht around midday and then set sail on the open sea. Enjoy an afternoon of sailing and spot the playful antics of New Zealand fur seals along the coast. Start your day with an invigorating self-guided walk along the National Park coastal trail between Marahau and Anchorage. Enjoy the lush native forest and golden beaches before emerging to a view of the beautiful Anchorage Bay. Meet your knowledgeable skipper on Anchorage Beach, ready to set sail at 1:30 pm. Then let nature do the work, catching the sea breeze and sail back through the best of the Abel Tasman coastline via secluded beaches, bays and estuaries to the resort community of Kaiteriteri. Free transfers back to your vehicle in Marahau are provided at the end of the day. This is a 3-4 hour self-guided walk. Meeting Place and Time: 1:15 pm check in with your skipper in front of the Doc Hut, Anchorage beach. Departs & Returns from: Begin your self-guided walk by 8:30 am at National Park Entrance Marahau, Return at 4:30 pm to Kaiteriteri Beach. Courtesy transfers back to Marahau by 5:15 pm. Start & finish at Marahau. Fully explore the Astrolabe area at your own pace. Paddle out to Adele & Fisherman Islands and listen to the birdsong. Know that choosing this trip means a portion of your trip cost helps protect the birds. Drift into caves on a high tide. Stop in at Watering Cove and walk up the coastal track to experience the spectacular views of the Astrolabe and the Northern part of the park. On your return paddle revisit your favourite spots or explore the ones you missed on the way North.

Start Awaroa/Finish Bark Bay Starting at Awaroa, courtesy of our water taxi transfer, visit Shag Harbour, a hidden inlet like nowhere else in the Abel Tasman. Then paddle south, focusing on the Tonga Island Marine Reserve and its playful inhabitants - the NZ fur seal, Kekeno. After a picnic lunch on one of the beautiful beaches visit Tonga Arches, exploring south along the carved granite coastline through to the tranquil lagoons and golden sand of the 'heart of the park' to Bark Bay. Start Onetahuti/Finish Anchorage Paddle from Onetahuti out to Tonga Island to see New Zealand fur Seals, Kekeno.  Paddle south with the breeze, exploring sculptured granite headlands, tranquil lagoons and everything that's special about the heart of the Abel Tasman. Enjoy lunch at this beach, before heading to Anchorage. Finish at Anchorage and return to Marahau by water taxi.
