We had done a cooking class in another part of Greece earlier in our trip, and we were really looking forward to this one. It did not disappoint! Our hostess was friendly and down to earth, and we enjoyed both her teachings and our conversations with her. The visit to the market was really interesting, and we got to explore a side of Athens we would have missed if not for this class. But learning how to make moussaka was the highlight. We will definitely put that lesson to use from time to time at home.
The tour with Anna was absolutely great. It was really nicely structured and of course very delicious :) Anna knows a lot about food and traditions of the area. So, it was very informative as well. I'll certainly return with my friends to repeat this experience, once this corona pandemic is over. One piece of advice to those, who plan to do this tour: do come hungry! :)))
Olina our sommelier was amazing at explaining how to recognise top quality wine, and how to recognise different tastes, bodies and finish. She was knowledgeable about all the different types of Greek wine, their regions and how the wine is grown. Great value for money, perfect for novices or those who have never recognised the diversity of Greek wines. Highly recommend!!
Ana was a wonderful guide. Arrived exactly on time and was very friendly. Tasted a great array of: yoghurt/honey, cheese, cured meats, olives, coffee, and walked around fresh produce markets. The highlights were the piping hot cheese/filo pastry pie and the lovely meze lunch at the end :)
Had an absolutely wonderful class and amazing instructor. All the food made was delicious and it was great getting to see the market and the way people shop in Greece.
