The guide gave us all the information we needed during the ascent. We had coffee and biscuits during a break during the ascent to enjoy the view and the road. It was pretty rough, but the suspension of the 4x4 never made it uncomfortable. The visit to the Basotho village was a nice bonus, but we only did it for the pass and the highest pub. A beer costs 45R, which is totally OK for this altitude. But the Basotho village was still interesting, especially in and around the village. Like from another world.
