The hosted access was perfect for those wanting assistance to access the site and then having the freedom to wander without a group. Unfortunately the forum and palatine were closed early (first day of changeover to shorter hours) without the tour operator being informed so we were unable to complete the tour, however the host handled the situation very well and offered either a ticket for the next day or partial refund. Disappointing to not get to wander the ruins but handled as best as possible under the circumstances.

This guided tour was brilliant, so glad we splashed out as we skipped queues and had no issues going around the tour. Our guide Carmelo was amazing, informative, easy to understand and funny. He didn't go too fast so we were able to keep together. He gave us lots of interesting information. Meeting point was actually The Ultimate Italy but I had read this in the reviews, so that's the only thing I would alter in the details.

Really really good. Our guide was enthusiastic, well informed and interesting.

Had a great tour both guides were wonderful and very knowledgeable.

Seeing the Colosseum at night made it even more magical.
