Excellent experience five star service, the guide (Mr Fonseca) was superb. It a must when visiting Porto, its a short drive with pleasant stops along the way. The vineyards were distinctive, the attention and atmosphere was unique. Lunch, was a fixed local menu, which exposed us to new dishes, it was very much worth it. The boat ride was a pleasant closure. We are not into tours, however this was more of a day with a local than with a guide, shout-out to Fonseca. I was intimidated at the begging because of the long duration of the experience but I have to admit the time flew by. Me and my family of four had a blast and so much to talk about.

This tour was the BEST tour ever, thanks largely to our driver and guide, ANTONIO! His enthusiasm, knowledge and warmth were on full display for the 10+ hours we spent with him and our experience was exponentially better as a result. The Douro Valley is spectacular (it didn’t hurt that we went on a beautiful day) and the two vineyards we visited were welcoming and informative. DON’T HESITATE TO BOOK THIS TOUR! The money you’ll spend will be returned tenfold in memories. And be sure to ask for António! :-)

We had a great day with Maria! Throughout the trip, she provided us with explanations and anecdotes about the region. It started in Amarante, a pretty little village with a little tasting. We then went to visit an olive oil and wine museum and had the pleasure of tasting the products. The estate has a magnificent view of the valley. We took a guided boat trip on the Douro. To finish we went to eat a traditional meal accompanied by wine. It all ends with a tasting of aged port. Visit to make.

Excellent day trip, super private tour! Visiting the local family run vineyards rather than a big companies was brilliant and the lunch at the local farm was fabulous. The highlight of the day had to be the river cruise. All of the people we went were lovely and extremely knowledgeable but our guide was wonderful, she made our trip and was great to have her with us all day! Thank you so much!

WONDERFUL day. We're in Porto for 3 weeks and this experience has been our #1 highlight. We visited a stunning overlook and had lots of time to soak up the scenery and take photos, a trip to a vineyard, a delicious lunch at another vineyard (with lots more wine), and an hour-long Duoro River cruise with Port Tonics and nibbles, lots of beauty and fun. 5 stars for sure.
