I felt like a little too much time was spent for “hiking”. If you’re not able to hike, 2 or 2 1/2 hours is a long time to sit around. Considering there were 8 people on the tour (including my family), a mini van with doors that opened on both sides would have been nice. It was fine for the person in the front seat and the couple in the second row, but difficult for my family to get out for photo ops. My two adult children were constantly having to climb out of the vehicle, trying not to step on other’s people feet. In and out was very difficult and uncomfortable. It was the most expensive out of the 4 tours we took, and the most uncomfortable; for the price we paid, it should have better transportation.
The experience was great for the first timer. We did expect more rapids but we saw Bald Eagles and a mountain goat which made it eventful. The driver on the bus Jean, was quite funny and helped the time to the river and back. Keith did a great job too and making sure we all got wet, but it did feel as though he did most of the work.
Thid was by far the safest whitewater rafting trip I have experienced. Each raft had a spotter in a kayak and safety was foremost with the guides. We had an exciting trip at peak high water and I would recommend Snake River Whitewater Rafting to everyone.
By far, the best thing we've ever done in Jackson! It was pretty pricey taking the entire family but definitely a must do activity. Mad River was a great outfit with highly trained and skilled operators running the boats. Pure fun!
The tour was wonderful even though it was rainy and a little chilly. Our group opted not to take the boat ride because of the weather, but it was still wonderful and we loved seeing the Tetons.
