Discover France’s most scenic landscapes on a full-day trip to Castellane, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, and the Verdon Gorge from Nice. See the iconic Lavender Fields and learn about these picturesque locations from your guide. Be picked up from your hotel or home address in Nice. Depart with your driver to the hills of your countryside destination. Cross the "gorge of the wolf", complete with its 40-meter-high waterfall, before stopping at Castellane. Whilst traveling along the Verdon (named for its astonishing turquoise green color), enjoy spectacular views of the 700-meter-deep canyon. Afterward, move on to the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, nestled under a rocky cliff and surrounded by mountains from all sides. Known for its rich history in ceramic craftsmanship, you will have free time here to explore Moustiers at your leisure. Discover the earthenware in the stores, and buy souvenirs before lunch in one of the terrace cafes. Photograph the world-famous lavender platters, or enjoy the lake of St. Croix, an artificial treasure of clear water that is one of the most beautiful lakes of Provence. Then, marvel at the endless lavender fields at the foot of the Alps and stop to take unique and memorable pictures with this impressive backdrop. Stop to smell the light and enchanting lavender aroma surrounding you as you do. After enjoying your trip, return to your vehicle at which point you will be driven back to your point of origin in Nice. Nb: Lavender season runs from approximately mid-June to mid-August.

Start your full-day shared group or private tour with a pickup from your accommodation in Nice and admire the famous Promenade des Anglais as you depart the city. With your guide, travel first to Castellane, a quintessentially-French, cultural village at the gates of the famous Verdon Gorge, and classified as a "city of character". Visit its ancient ramparts, and three listed monuments, including St. Victor's Church, the Clock Tower, and the Pentagonal Tower. Continue to the charming village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France and part of the phenomenal Verdon Natural Regional Park. From here, make sure to snap pictures of the idyllic Provence setting complete with lavender fields, panoramic views of the surrounding rocky mountains, and the blue waters of the Lake of Sainte-Croix, the third largest lake in France. Finally, return to your accommodation in Nice after a full day of memorable sightseeing.

Climb up to the top of the fortified medieval city walls and discover Avignon in all its beauty. Explore the rich past of Avignon where the papacy was established in the early 14th-century. Follow your guide inside the Pope's Palace, the largest Gothic palace in Europe. Immerse yourself in this maze of galleries, chambers, and chapels. Walk on the cobbled streets to the Place de l'Horloge and find out about the secret of the painted windows. See the town hall with its clock tower and the theater. Your tour will conclude with a glass of Côtes du Rhône wine.

Tour the enchanting hilltop villages and colorful landscapes of the Luberon region of southern France on a full-day tour. Enjoy roundtrip transportation from Marseille, then have plenty of free time to explore traditional markets, antique shops, and historic monuments in different towns. Depart from the meeting point and discover a unique Luberon market, depending on the day of your tour. Experience the aromas and flavors of traditional Provençal products. On Tuesdays, spend time in the dry-stone-built village of Gordes and explore its market. On other days, stop in Gordes for a panoramic photo stop. On Thursdays, see the village of Roussillon and its colorful houses, with an iconic market. On Fridays, enjoy free time in Lourmarin, famous for its Renaissance castle, and visit the market. On Saturdays, discover the market in the city of Apt, famous for the candied-fruits production. On Sundays only, visit the market that takes place in L'Isle sur Sorgue. From mid-June to mid-July, make a photo stop at Sénanque Abbey, with its lavender fields in bloom. Drive to Fontaine de Vaucluse and the Sorgue resurgence before heading back to Marseille.

The Luberon is a small and perfectly preserved paradise in the heart of Provence. It is home to everything that one likes about Provence: dozens of small villages perched on hilltop. The village of Roussillon, built on top of an ochre cliff. The ochre is a natural pigment which can be found in the soil and which is used for the painting and decoration of the houses. You will stroll in the narrow streets of this colorfull village. (Market on Thursday). A short drive will bring you to one of the most beautiful villages in France : Gordes. A panoramic photo stop will be arranged. The next stop will be in Fontaine de Vaucluse : walk up to the cave from which the River Sorgues emerges.

I’m inviting you to spend a really sensational day. The beauty of the lavender fields is indescribable. You will have enough time to take pictures, smell the flowers, admire the nature and taste 3 local wines. This unic landscape is worth to be explored. I will take you to one of my favorite spots where I go with my family or friends. We will go to Gorges du Verdon, the biggest canyon in all Europe. You will have free time for a picnic on your electric boat navigating on the fabulous lake (from 1 to 3 hours). It is really something to see ! The next stop is the perched village Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon with its incredible view on the Sainte Croix lake and the canyon, so, so pictoresque! It's a very old and charming Provencal village.

On the way to the Ste Croix Lake, you will admire incredible panoramic views. At your request, the driver can stop so you can take photos. You will discover Castellane, a remarkable historical, cultural and sporting heritage. The village is today classified "city of character". It is located in a privileged environment, at the gates of the site of the Gorges du Verdon. Located on Route Napoleon and on the roads of lavender, the old village is also partly surrounded by the ramparts of the XIV century. Then, we invite you to discover Moustiers-Sainte-Marie that is ranked one of the most beautiful villages in France. Located at the gateway to the Gorges du Verdon, this village is built in the form of an amphitheater. It is known throughout the world for finesse faience and unique decors. Moustiers Sainte Marie enjoys an exceptional environment: from here, you have a view of the lavender fields, the mountains and the lake of Sainte-Croix. And experience one of the most beautiful lakes of Provence surrounded by fields of lavender. Sainte-Croix is the third largest lake in France! Ideal for swimming in summer or canoe, pedal boat or electric boat.

Visit the French regional national park of the Luberon and the typical Provençal villages perched atop cliffs that Peter Mayle described so well in his popular books about life in Provence. Your driver/guide is experienced and knowledgeable and will help ensure that this half-day tour is a memorable one! Wander along the narrow streets of Gordes, admire the ochre-red façades of Roussillon and stop to see the magnificent Abbey of Sénanque, surrounded with lavender fields in bloom during the summer (15 June to 15 August). With your guide, discover the rich, historical centre of Avignon, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Enjoy the panoramic view of the surroundings and the Rhône River, Pont d'Avignon by walking up to the top of the fortified city walls and Rochers des Doms. Visit the largest gothic-style Popes’ Palace whereby successive popes resided between 1309 and 1377. Continue on to the Place de l'Horloge, the Town Hall and the Theatre. Enjoy a glass of Côtes du Rhône wineserved in a place close to the palace. (operated only in english). Lunch on your own in Avignon. Discover Pont du Gard : visit the best preserved aqueduct of the Roman period. (The museum is not included). Free time in Les Baux de Provence, medieval fortress located on a rocky spur in the Alpilles region. Discover the city center of Saint Rémy de Provence. NB : participants will be required to walk on cobblestone streets and climb many flights of steps during the tour. Therefore, comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
