This tour has been recommended by thousands of satisfied visitors to Iceland from around the world. I went alone on this trip in winter time, you are provided with two layers of water-resistant coveralls, and long as you have a decent pair of gloves, you'll soon forget how cold the weather is. I found that our guide gave us lots of information about the types and number of whales in the area as well as some background about the port we departed from, the captain of the ship was able to position the boat in in good places for us to get really close-up to the whales. They also provide a cinnamon bun and a cup of hot chocolate for the journey back to the harbour.

  • Myvatn Nature Baths Entrance Ticket

    2. Myvatn Nature Baths Entrance Ticket

Myvatn Nature Baths is a traditional and tastefully designed complex offering a completely natural experience that you can enjoy with your day admission ticket. The 2 steam baths are built on top of a geothermal area and the sulfur steam rises up through holes in the floor. The water of the Myvatn Nature Baths is drawn from a borehole that goes 2,500 meters into the ground. The water has a high concentration of minerals, is basic in nature and well suited for bathing. Before or after bathing you can enjoy a light meal and drinks at Café Kvika in a beautiful setting with views of the stunning natural surroundings. You can also make use of the swim-up bar in the baths and enjoy a beer, wine, cider, soda, or glass of sparkling wine in the water.

Clean and well run. The baths are fabulous - especially when the sun is out :) I was lucky with the weather. GetYourGuide app discount was welcome ! It’s good value compared with prices of other thermal baths in Iceland - but still expensive in Uk pound terms.

Great experience! Enjoyed tough beautiful scenery. Our guides and captain communicated with other boats to try and find whales for us. I liked the sense of community out there. I appreciated the warm overalls to and hot cocoa too. Nice touch!
