What people are saying about Swakopmund

The tour was absolutely brilliant. The guide Franz was very learned and informative, and pleasant to be with. He gave me all sorts of advice how to benefit from the Tour. He gave a very interesting picture of the relevant history. I felt welcomed by the Herero lady I met, also the San lady who gave me the Click tutorial. The mixture of very detailed knowledge and history was superb. We met with Helena for lunch. She is one of the originators of the Tour. I also met her family. The lunch was excellent and traditional. Helena was so good at creating the right atmosphere. We had a local musical group at lunch, very entertaining. Helena talked about Namibia and she and her sister made me feel very valued. I felt so much part of the Community. This tour is such good value for money, the best experience I had in Namibia. It is so authentic and I will remember it for ever. It deserves to be publicised and given lots of support, it is brilliant for the Community. I hope this review gets publis

The tour was absolutely superb. The guides offered insights and experiences that a tourist would never get to have with a big organized group or solo. Visiting a home and having a traditional meal prepared was extremely special. Being serenaded by local singers with some beautiful harmonies was something you couldn't expect from any tour. Having a lesson on the click language from a Namibian bushman (woman) was also super. Traveling from the very poor Mondesa township and into nearby swanky Swakopmund was a telling way to understand the period of colonialism. The only thing I would recommend is that I was on a cruise and it was complicated to communicate the final details, so make sure this is all nailed down before you leave.
