Luka was my fabulous guide on this tour. We started in 1914 and ended in 1991 with Croatia’s independence. The tour of course focuses on war, politics, and military history. Some art and culture are tied in the tour to give tourist a deeper understanding of the long struggle between the Baltic nations and within Croatia itself. I learned a lot about the great political figures in the former Yugoslavia and Croatia like Tito and Milošević. Overall, excellent tour especially if you are interested in the regions political history. Luka has a natural gift for sharing knowledge and telling history in a way that is interesting and exciting. His formal education and personal experiences contribute to the tour’s richness. I wish every city had a Luka. That being said, well worth the money and time. 5/5
This was an absolute amazing tour! Luca is such a knowledgeable guy in regards to Croatian history. This tour is a combination of historical and cultural facts about former Yugoslavia that will make you understand better the present moment and why the Balkans are such a interesting region. Not gonna spoil it for you but if you get a change to be in Zagreb in our outside of Covid times you should definitely book this your! Thank you Luca!
If you’re interested in history then this is the perfect tour for you. The local guide shows you different places and explains everything. She has a map with her, so you can easily follow the (complicated) history.
