Caldera Cliff Tour - Explore the amazing Caldera side of Megalochori village at Sunset As we leave the stables in Megalochori the ride will take you along the paths of the traditional village, toward the caldera cliff where you will witness the layers of lava of the famous Caldera volcanic crater. Impressive for the amazing views and the steep cliff, the ride along the rim of the caldera you will witness the ravines and gorges created by the eruption thousands of years ago. From the cliff top, we stop to admire the amazing sunset sparkling on the water as this ride celebrates nature in in all its glory. A visit to an ancient quarry carved into the cliffside where you will view the different layers of stone that make the island’s geology unique. Your instructor-guide will show you remains of the Minoan civilization dating to 3500+ years ago. The host will take you through the biggest vineyards of the island up to the chosen destination where she or he will take several memorable photos of you and your other half. The tour ends when you return to the stables in Megalochori village and then you will be transferred back to your hotel or the point you were picked up.
