I enjoyed this day tour very much. My guide Nana was very nice and very knowledgeable, explained everything in detail, showed me the best picture spots and also took pictures for me. It was definitely worth it to see all the archeological sites in one day, and it’s nice to have the van with air conditioning to go from one place to another, because it gets massively warm during the afternoon. The restaurant we had lunch with was also nice, it was nothing special, but it had air conditioning and the food was nice.

Luxor is possibly one of the hottest places on Earth so please remember a hat, water and shades! Our guide Yola was so friendly that by the end any inhibitions were gone. There was no pressure to buy anything that she took us to and I walked away with some lovely gifts for my family at prices I wouldn’t have been able to get in Cairo. The trip was long as I naively and foolishly booked the bus but what was really nice was the manager came to pick us up to make sure we got the right stop! So after 8+ hours we finally made it. The city is stunning. The monuments are breathtaking and you can’t help but be awed by everything. On the way back we got on a different bus where we saw the real Egypt! This bus took forever as we had many pit stops and finally arrived back in Cairo at 6:30am where the same driver was waiting for us. So apart from the heat and the journey I could not say enough lovely things about Yola and the overall experience

This is a long day out but totally worth it. We stayed in Cairo for the week, therefore we flew to Luxor, a 1-hour flight at around 6am, we flew back around 8.30pm. We were met at Luxor Airport by our wonderful guide Youla who is from Luxor. Youla is lovely, so friendly and very knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptology. We had the best day with her! We were very excited to visit The Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, Luxor Temple and the mesmerising Karnak Temple – major highlights of our trip all in one day. We had a lovely lunch at a restaurant in Karnak, good options for vegetarians too. Our flight back was delayed and Youla got her thinking cap on and suggested we have a trip on the Nile in a felucca boat, it was beautiful trip on the Nile just before sunset so the light was amazing, and it was a lovely end to an incredible day.
