Start the tour with pick up at your hotel at 8 AM and travel for 3.5 hours to the archaeological zone. Arrive at the most important ceremonial center of the Totonaca peoples, the archaeological area of El Tajín which combines history, knowledge, and beauty in one setting. Next, admire the pre-colonial buildings in the middle of the jungle including a palace, temple, and soccer fields. Marvel at the amazing pyramid of Los Nichos which is considered to be an agricultural, civic, and sun calendar, due to its 7 levels and 365 niches. After this, continue the tour to Papantla, also known as Pueblo Mágico, located a few kilometers away in Totonacapan. This place is where vanilla originates from and where local men performed fertility rituals. Learn about how the precolonial and Spanish melting pot of cultures led to the mixing of folklore and taste; a heritage that still lives on in the region. Explore the historical center of Papantla and take in panoramic views of Papantla from the observation deck. Return to Veracruz at 6 PM where you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Get picked up from your hotel in Veracruz at 8 AM and take a 2.5-hour drive to Santiago Tuxtla. First, pay a visit to the largest Olmec Stone Head in the region. Next, set off to Eyipantla, where you will find El Salto de Eyipantla, a spectacular waterfall which is more than 50 m high and 40 m wide. Explore this Tuxtla Biosphere Reserve, and enjoy direct contact with nature while you descend the 244-step staircase that takes you to the waterfall. Don't worry, every 15 steps there is a space to rest. When you reach the bottom, be amazed by the magnitude of the crashing water and enjoy a packed lunch (not provided) amongst mulatto trees and fauna of this region. Finally, visit Catemaco, a village next to the magnificent lagoon which is home to shamans, sorcerers, and healers. Enjoy a boat ride through the lagoon, visiting the spider monkey island, macaque island, and heron island. At the end of the day, take a 3-hour return drive back to Veracruz where you will be dropped off at your hotel.

After picking you up from your hotel in Veracruz at 9 am, you will head to the archaeological site of Cempoala. This ancient site is one of the most significant Mesoamerican locations in the region, serving as the capital of the Totonaca people's Totonacapan kingdom and the first urban settlement encountered by the Spanish upon their arrival in the Americas. You will enjoy a guided tour of Cempoala, exploring its key structures, including the Sun Temple, the temple dedicated to the wind god Ehécatl, the Temple of the Chimneys, and more. Additionally, if you're fortunate, you may witness the Ritual Ceremony of the Voladores de Papantla. This fertility dance features four young people climbing and descending a pole to honor nature and the spiritual universe. After touring Cempoala, you will proceed to the town of La Antigua, regarded as the first true Spanish town established in the Americas. You will visit the Ermita del Rosario church, the Casa del Cabildo, the first Spanish city hall on the continent, and the house of Spanish colonizer Hernán Cortés. You will also see an old tree with a fascinating story that will be revealed during the tour. At the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Veracruz, arriving at 2 pm.

Heading north of the city, 45 km from the port, we will arrive at Cempoala, a place of "twenty waters" that gives its meaning for being surrounded by rivers in the region, in addition to being one of the important archaeological zones of the state, it has several buildings that Today they are of great architectural beauty such as the Templo Mayor, Temple of the Chimneys, Circle of the Gladiators, Temple of the Caritas, the temple of God Wind and the Cross, in addition to having a site museum. This mystical complex will remind us of when it functioned as the second capital of the Totonaca empire before being dominated by the Aztec empire. We pass to the OLD where we will find legacies of the Spanish conquest, such as the Casa del Cabildo, the first town hall in the new Spain, the Ermita del Rosario, the first Catholic church in Mexico, and the house of Hernán Cortés, in addition to enjoying the picturesque place with its suspension bridge over the Huitzilapan river We finish with a panoramic tour of the Historic Center of Veracruz to see its main historic buildings in this ancient city.
