Had an enjoyable time on the cruise down the Potomac to Mount Vernon. The boat left on time, had plenty of seating. Nice to sit below deck on the way back because it was very hot out that day. The time spent at Mount Vernon was nice, we got tickets to tour the inside of the mansion, not just the grounds. There is a lot to see there, the gardens, the tomb and memorial to the slaves who worked there, the home itself. Good selection of food at cafeteria and museum shop for souvenirs.

This is a must see museum! Modern and clean. You start from the 4th floor and each floor is interesting. I only had 4.5 hours and spent most of them on 4 and 3. Four is about bibles, how they started, got printed and how old and new testaments were written. Three starts in a theater and tells the story from the garden to a biblical village complete with village people who will interact with you. Young children won’t be too interested in 4th floor, but they will enjoy the 3rd. They can take a ride over Washington DC on the 2nd and there is a children’s play area on the first floor.
This was a wonderful and very informative museum. There are tons of interactive parts that really bring the exhibits to life and put a new perspective on the periods during which the Bible was written, edited, translated etc. The booking prices was also great and I liked being able to keep all my bookings/ tickets in one place with this app
Enjoyed this experience due to the knowledge and enthusiasm of the driver. I.thought he explained the area and historical significance very well.
