The trip begins with pickup from your hotel in central San Carlos de Bariloche and then embarks on a sightseeing tour of the city’s highlights. Visit some of the most iconic landmarks that San Carlos de Bariloche has to offer, and learn about this vibrant city from your local guide. Next, travel along the edge of the stunning Nahuel Huapi Lake, one of the most beautiful places in Patagonia. Admire the stunning views of the deep-blue water and the contrast against the rugged mountainous region that surrounds it. The tour continues along Bustillo Avenue, where you can marvel at panoramic views across Huemul Island and Playa Bonita. Arrive at Llao Llao village on the shore of Lake Moreno, set amongst picturesque rolling green landscapes. Visit the traditional Llao Llao Hotel, which founded the village in the 1990s, and gaze upon the vast natural scenes that surround it. Then head to Saint Edward's Chapel to see its quaint wooden architecture before traveling to the foothill of Cerro Campanario. Take an optional cable car ride to the summit to admire National Geographic’s ‘eighth best view in the world’, before the tour returns to Bariloche.

Cerro Tronador is the highest mountain in the National Park Nahuel Huapi with three picks in its summit - one Chilean, one international, and one Argentinean. To arrive at its base from San Carlos de Bariloche it is necessary to take the national route #258 heading for El Bolsón and then, to arrive at the south part of Lake Mascardi, take the route #254 toward the right until arriving to Pampa Linda, a small village that has a hostel with a restaurant, camping site, park guard, and a section of Gendarmería Nacional. From here, you will see several paths for trips by foot or by horse that will allow you to discover places of an extraordinary beauty. You can admire, for example, the Manso Glacier or the snowdrift Negro, which together birth the Manso Superior River that ends in Lake Mascardi after traveling through the Valley of the Vuriloches. You could also head to Otto Meiling refuge, located 2,000 meters high, from where the ascent to the summits of the Tronador begins (experts only). Tronador is 3450 meters high and owes its name to the impressive noise that is made by large detachments of ice. Explore its surroundings on this tour with roundtrip transportation.

The cable car rises to the summit at 1,405 meters above sea level, you can see the incredible panoramas from any of the 42 panoramic gondolas, with capacity for 4 people each.  Once at the top, you can enjoy a meal and a hot beverage at the Rotating Cafeteria, unique to South America, which allows you to appreciate the entire landscape through large windows while enjoying excellent regional cuisine. Begin your full-day tour from your hotel in Bariloche at 8 AM.  Then, head north through the town of Dina Huapi and the bridge over the Limay River, connecting to the legendary Route 40. Along the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, make your first short stop in Villa la Angostura, a town with mountain architecture ideal for walking on foot. Next, start walking an incredible path surrounded by mountains and lakes.  Make stops along the way to experience the hike to its fullest. On the Road of the Seven Lakes, see Espejo Lake, Correntoso Lake, Villarino Lake, Falkner, Escondido Lake, Machónico Lake, and Lácar Lake, before finally arriving at the city of San Martin. You will have free time to explore the city and have lunch in front of the lake before starting the return along the same path. After making your last stop at Villa la Angostura, arrive in Bariloche at approximately 6:30 PM.

A popular tour of Bariloche, this half-day circular route begins in the city and heads out to Lake Nahuel Huapi and Playa Bonita. From Playa Bonita you’ll be able to see Huemul Island. When you reach the foot of Cerro Campanario there’s a chairlift that takes people to the summit (1,050 meters). If you choose to take this optional ride to the top you’ll marvel at some of the most spectacular views of the region. The circuit continues on the San Pedro peninsula to the Llao Llao area. Admire St. Edward’s Chapel, an architectural jewel, and head to Puero Scarf on Lake Nahuel Huapi, where sailing excursions on the lake depart. To the south are stunning views of the Llao Llao Hotel, framed by the Chapel Hill and Cerro Lopez. When you arrive at Panorama Point you’ll admire the lovely views of the Llao Llao peninsula and surrounding lakes. Next you’ll cross the bridge over Lake Moreno that connects the lake with the Llao Llao peninsula and follow the route around Laguna El Treboll, before returing to the city of Bariloche.

On this full-day excursion you’ll take in some of the most breathtaking features of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Visit lakes, beaches, mountains, and waterfalls, and admire the highest mountain in the Patagonia. Mount Tronador, 3,478 meters high, forms a natural border between Chile and Argentina. From the viewpoint at its base you can see the incredible glacier that feeds the Manso River. See the Ventisquero Negro (Black Glacier) that consists of huge brownish-gray blocks formed by avalanches of ice and mud. Visit La Garganta del Diablo (The Devil’s Throat), a waterfall created by melted glacial ice, surrounded by high rock walls, and see the Saltillo de las Nalcas, a hidden waterfall in the middle of the forest. This mountain’s name, Tronador, comes from the thunderous sounds produced by the massive falling blocks of ice.

This guided walking tour is a 1 kilometer walk. It starts in the Bariloche Civic Center, by the tourist information office, and it takes tourists to the German neighborhood. It describes the three main waves of German immigration to Argentina and Bariloche by going to key representative sites, as the Civic Center, the Bariloche Andean Club & Nahuel Huapi National Park administration, the German School, Belgrano Square and the house where Erich Priebke lived before being extradited in 1994 after an American journalist discovered his presence. In the end, it closes with a discussion about theories on German presence in Patagonia. The research & development of this walking tour is a joint work of a tour guide and an anthropologist from the German community.

It is the most traditional of all the walks. It begins its journey in the center of the city on Av. Bustillo towards the west (in the direction of Llao Llao). This Avenue is located on the southern bank of Lake Nahuel Huapi and borders this lake for almost its entire length. At km 8 we can have a panoramic view of the central part of the lake with Huemul Island in front of us. Later, at km 17 we reach the base of the Cerro Campanario Complex, where we can take the Ascent in Aerosilla (optional) and from above obtain a magnificent view of mountains and lakes. Continuing the tour we arrive at the Llao Llao area with its main attractions: the Llao Llao Hotel, San Eduardo Chapel, an important architectural legacy, and Puerto Pañuelo from where the navigations on Lake Nahuel Huapi depart. We continue on our way to a panoramic point at 645 meters above sea level, from where you will have a beautiful view of the eastern and western Moreno Lakes, and the Llao Llao Peninsula. Continuing the tour we pass the access to Colonia Switzerland, a town famous for the production of curanto, a place of crafts and residence of residents of Swiss descent. Once again we join Avenida Bustillo to return to the city.
